Definitely a bit of investment kit, the Tramex CME4 is good for measuring moisture in concrete floors. It's pocket sized and easy to use.

As flooring professionals, we use the Tramex Concrete Encounter CME 4 regularly. Great for measuring the moisture in concrete floors and floor screeds quickly and easily. You don't need to drill any holes or damage the floor at all which I can see would be appealing to the DIYer.
